Shalini Sahoo works with the materiality of transit spaces. She investigates, analyses and optimises how these inform and therefore sub-consciously influence user behaviour. Her enquiry probes into the domain of cultural studies, material semantics and into the area of embodied cognitive reactions to sensorial inputs. In her works materiality is studied in its textural, olfactory and aural components – in relation to the human agency. Her work is based in the system of urban mobility, built environments, transit spaces – digital and material. This website shows Shalini’s works and their processes.
